Hugh Avant

Hugh Avant is Senior Solutions Consultant with GE Digital, Grid Software Solutions. He has been with GE for over 22 years, engaging with customers and product development in the areas of GIS, OMS, Analytics and ADMS. He works internally with engineering to define software solution roadmaps/requirements and shape product strategy and externally with utility companies in collaborative workshops for outage response and storm preparedness.

Prior to joining GE, Hugh had 12 years of experience working in the electric utility industry managing software systems that supported asset management for engineering and network modelling for operations.

Hugh graduated as an electrical engineer from Mississippi State University and minored in mathematics.
